The 2021 Open Championship, also known as British Open, is officially the 149th Open Championship and a golf tournament being played 15–18 July 2021 at Royal St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, England. It is the 15th Open Championship to be played at Royal St George’s.
British Open 2021 Live Streaming + TV Channels Details, Broadcast Rights
NBC and Golf Channel to broadcast live coverage of the British Open in 2021. The tournament starts on Golf Channel each morning before shifting to NBC for afternoon and evening coverage.
All four rounds will air on TV with coverage split between NBC and Golf Channel, coverage for the US viewers will begin very early in the morning. Golf Channel will air the first two rounds, with their broadcasts starting at 4 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday. Golf Channel will then carry the early action on Saturday and Sunday, with NBC taking over for the conclusion of the third and final rounds.
Peacock, NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, will provide exclusive early coverage of the first two rounds, featured group and hole coverage every day, and simulcasts of the TV broadcasts.
Sky Sports will have exclusive UK rights to The Open with the BBC showing a 2-hour highlights programme every night instead of live coverage. Fox Sports 5 will look telecast coverage for the 2021 Open Championship.
