Korea to host 2019 Women’s East Asia Cup

Korea Cricket Association (KCA) will be hosting the 2019 edition of Women’s East Asia Cup from Sep 19th – 22nd, 2019. Korea will host Hong Kong, Japan, and China in the four-nation tournament. The tournament will be played in the Twenty20 format, and teams have an opportunity to get T20I status after completion of the competition.

The previous editions held in 2015 and 2017 were won by China Women and Hong Kong Women respectively. Korea Women had hosted China Women in a three-match T20I series in Nov 2018 at Incheon, the venue for the East Asia Cup. The tournament will be played in a single round-robin group phase format, following which the top two teams will in the Final on 22nd Sep 2019.

The 2019 tournament of the Women’s East Asia Cup will be hosted by the Korea Cricket Association (KCA) from 19 to 22 September 2019. Hong Kong Women currenty placed at the 23rd position in the poinst table, followed by China Women (26th), Japan Women (29th) and Korea Women (43rd).
