The French Open, also called Roland-Garros (in French: Championnats Internationaux de France de Tennis) is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France. The tennis court stadium is named after the French aviator Roland Garros.
The 2019 French Open was the 123rd edition of the French Open and will be held at Stade Roland Garros in Paris. There is a singles and doubles events for both boys and girls (players under 18), which is part of the Grade A category of tournaments and singles and doubles events for men’s and women’s wheelchair tennis players under the Grand Slam category.
The winner of the French Open 2019 will get a record sum of prize money, the amounts are same for the women’s and men’s events, Prize money increased to $48.35 million.
