The 2021 COPA America is 47th edition of COPA America. It is organized by South American football ruling body CONMEBOL. The tournament will be played in Brazil from June 13, 2021. Final match of COPA America will be played on 10 July, 2021. Host Brazil are the defending champion having won the title in 2019. Last year due to Covid 19 conditions the tournament was postponed.
A total number of 10 teams divided into two groups are taking part in this years COPA America cup. Group A, also known as South group has: Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay. Group B, also known as North group has: Host Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru. Four teams from each group will advance into knockout stage and the team on last position will be terminated. Then there will be quarterfinals, semifinals, 3rd place match and final match.
